Choosing A Wedding Candelabra

Your wedding is the start of your new life as part of a married couple. The wedding is just the first day – it is not everything that marriage is but to many people, it is an extremely important celebration, which they remember for the rest of their lives.

It is no surprise, then, that people spend huge amounts of money and time into planning the ideal day. The bride especially is usually of the opinion that no detail is too small to be left to chance everything needs to be planned.

At the reception you will need centerpieces. What kind of centerpieces should really be determined after the theme of the wedding has been decided upon. However, wedding candelabras are becoming an increasingly popular choice.

The wedding candelabra adds an element of style to the reception. As they are available in just about every material imaginable, you will need to begin by choosing the material type. Traditionally they would have been available in the metals (wrought iron for example) and wood. Using these materials can add a traditional element to your wedding, which is especially fitting if you marry in a church. When choosing a material type, keep in mind that the type you choose will influence your design choices. Glass and crystal are currently very popular choices as they can be molded into any shape you can imagine.

Also give some consideration to where the wedding candelabras will be positioned throughout the room. Will there be several small ones dotted around, or a large one in the center of each table? Ensure that you make a seating plan before have the candelabras placed in the room as if you have a table of small children, you should omit this for safety’s sake.

Whatever type of wedding candelabra you choose, just ensure that it fits with the theme of your wedding.
